“The scientific sessions were a great opportunity to hear from all different experts. The content was relevant and gave insight into critical thinking skills by listening to the lively discussions during question times. As a trial coordinator dealing exclusively with metastatic patients, the prevention, screening and diagnosis & early breast cancer sessions were very informative on standard of care routine as well as the direction practice is heading.”

“As a Clinical Trial Coordinator, from a regional centre, the awarding of the 2022 BCT travel grant enabled me an opportunity that I feel I cannot repay. The financial support to travel to Melbourne, as well as the high standard of accommodation, was just the tip of the iceberg. The conference was run in a highly professional manner, with opportunities to learn for everyone, whether an experienced and specialised researcher, or a new to the world of research study coordinator.”

“The meeting has further ignited my passion for clinical trials. I was grateful to have the support of BCT through a travel grant to attend the ASM in 2022 to present my own research, learn from the scientific sessions program and to network with other BCT members for ongoing collaboration in my academic and clinical endeavors.”

“The Trials Coordination Forum held on the first day was a personal highlight for me. I shared slides from the Interactive Education and Panel Discussion with my team, and this created discussion about how our organisation would handle various situations. It was reassuring to discuss this with peers, as we generally agreed on the Panel’s decisions and their reasoning behinds their answers. It was insightful to understand what to expect from the BCT department and gave context to a lot of our work.”

“Being fairly new to breast cancer research, I have appreciated the opportunity to hear from the world class health professionals and researchers as well as fellow study coordinators.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed attending the BCT Annual Scientific Conference and cherished the educational and networking benefits. This opportunity has enabled me to learn more about the vision and objectives of Breast Cancer Trials as an organisation that has been a pleasure to work closely with.”

“I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunity to attend the ASM in person. I was able to present online last year, but to participate face-to-face really elevated the experience for me, and facilitated networking opportunities that would otherwise be challenging. As a research scientist, I typically attend research-focussed meetings or presentation streams. To be immersed fully in the clinical meeting was illuminating.”
